Job Description

The Program Coordinator for the Internal Medicine Residency Program will provide administrative support to the Program Directors in the execution of all elements of the residency program. This role requires exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Managers in the Pediatric and Internal Medicine residency programs, working from an office within the Department of Internal Medicine, with frequent meetings at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and throughout the UC College of Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Manage resident applications, communicate with applicants, and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Process hiring paperwork for accepted residents, including HR documents, and work with the Hospital GME Office and HR Offices as needed.
  • Prepare annual contracts for residents, process licensing, privileging, and other necessary documents.
  • Compile and maintain resident schedules, including call schedules, conference schedules, and evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME guidelines for accreditation purposes.
  • Enter and maintain Qgenda for resident schedules.
  • Facilitate evaluation committee meetings and semi-annual evaluations.
  • Attend monthly Program Coordinator and Program Director meetings.
  • Maintain the program's external website and internal shared drives.
  • Represent the program and department in national organizations or committees.
  • Assist program leadership in planning social events for residents and faculty.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
  • One year of program coordinator experience preferred.
