Shipyard Pipefitter

A skilled Shipyard Pipefitter is needed to join our team at Shipyard Staffing LLC. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the installation and maintenance of pipes and piping systems used in ship construction and repair meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Pipe Installation and Maintenance: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of piping systems. Install pipes and piping systems, including fittings, valves, and other components used in ship construction and repair.
• Tool Operation: Use hand and power tools, including saws, grinders, and drills, to prepare pipes and piping systems for installation. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all piping systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Safety Protocols: Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical school training in pipefitting or a related field is preferred. 3-5 years of experience as a pipefitter in a shipyard or marine environment.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 per year. Shipyard Staffing LLC offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
