Weekend Dietary Supervisor Job Description:

Candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills to supervise staff and interact with our geriatric residents. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading teams and ensuring seamless operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure high-quality service and adherence to company standards.
  • Assist with the operations of the Food Service Department, including planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing programs and activities.
  • Inspect food storage rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of food and non-food supplies.
  • Assist in food purchasing and receiving, including monitoring expenditures and cost controls.
  • Develop methods for determining quality and quantity of food, including preparation and portioning of foods, sanitation, and compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Understand all therapeutic and mechanically altered diets and determine appropriate substitutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience.
  • High school degree.
  • Strong references.
  • Experience in healthcare is a plus.
  • Able to work weekdays and weekends.
Compensation:

$25-28 an hour based on experience.
