Job Title: Senior Endoscopy Technician

Gastroenterology of the Rockies is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As a leader in the Endoscopy Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of procedures and providing support to the nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the site lead to manage the ordering, receiving, and distribution of supplies to the appropriate stations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates of supplies to ensure availability and adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist with resolving equipment issues by leveraging advanced training in scope reprocessing and troubleshooting.
  • Receive additional training on procedure tools and demonstrate proficiency in assisting with biopsies.
  • Aid the Registered Nurse (RN) during procedures, performing permitted tasks as directed.
  • Train and mentor tech 2's, guiding them in adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the accurate completion of daily logs by tech 2's.
  • Maintain oversight of filter changing logs and Rapicide OPA 28 changes.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of leadership experience and 5 years of experience in a medical environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and software.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • High level ability to function as a member of a team, supporting the teamwork concept.
  • Advance computer skills, and ability to work with a variety of machinery.
Work Environment:
  • Work in an office environment, operating standard office equipment and keyboards. Some walking may be required.
  • Perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements. Close visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as data analysis, transcribing, computer work, and extensive reading.
  • Lift and lower objects weighing up to 50 lb.
  • Ability to differentiate and identify colors, judge distance and spatial relationships, and maintain clear vision at various distances.
  • Strong mathematical reasoning, memorization, and oral, spatial, and written comprehension skills.
  • Possible exposure to wet conditions, hazardous materials, and potentially infectious bodily fluids in a laboratory setting.
