Health Information Management Leader

Northwest Talent Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Health Information to join our client's team on a full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health information management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role. They will be responsible for overseeing the management and organization of all health information for our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of health information in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Oversee the maintenance and security of all health information, including electronic health records, paper records, and other forms of data
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure proper handling and management of health information
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely documentation and coding of patient records
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in health information management processes
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in health information technology to continuously improve our systems and processes
- Manage a team of HIM professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations
- Serve as a liaison between our company and external stakeholders, such as insurance companies, government agencies, and healthcare providers
- Prepare and present reports to company leadership on the status of health information management and any related issues or concerns
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or a related field
- RHIT Certification is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in health information management
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other industry standards and regulations
- Experience with electronic health record systems and other health information technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and work well under pressure
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $95,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
