Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Healthcare Clinical Technician at Fast Pace Health, you will provide both clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
Your responsibilities will include delivering exceptional patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming environment, and responding promptly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses.
The Healthcare Clinical Technician position entails providing excellent customer service to all internal and external clients by utilizing comprehensive knowledge and effective communication with team members.
Below is a high-level overview of the role's responsibilities, with a detailed job description discussed during the interview process.
Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including a working knowledge of health information management issues such as HIPAA.
Triage patients by checking vital signs, performing blood draws, and administering injections, among other tasks.
Monitor patients, documenting and reporting changes in their conditions, such as adverse reactions to medications or treatments, and taking necessary actions.
Assist with laboratory testing and phlebotomy.
Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments. Support providers in preparing for minor procedures and physical examinations.
Assist patients utilizing a Virtual Medicine Provider.
Coordinate referrals to specialists and obtain pre-authorizations as directed by the Provider.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient charts and forward them as appropriate on a daily basis.
Maintain overall cleanliness of the office as needed to support the team and clinic environment, which may include tasks such as taking out the garbage, organizing and cleaning workspaces, and assisting other team members to uphold a professional appearance for employees, patients, and visitors.
Demonstrate adherence to the Core Values of the Company, including teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.
Comply with Company operational standards.
Maintain friendly and cordial relationships with all clients and employees; foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and actions that promote good relationships with customers, co-workers, and managers.
Engage in mandatory compliance training to understand the aspects of compliance within the company.
Exhibit the ability to perform the physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions required for the position, as specified in the physical demands.
Additional Requirements for Centers of Excellence:
Complete all necessary preceptor training to effectively onboard and train new hires in centers of excellence.
Collaborate with Learning and Development to manage the onboarding and training of new employees.
Welcome new employees on their first day in the clinic, facilitating introductions, facility tours, and an overview of clinic processes.
Partner with Learning and Development and new hires to establish a training plan and review the training schedule. Communicate with Learning and Development as needed.
Submit weekly evaluations on the progress of trainees to Learning and Development. Report training progress or concerns to operations leadership and Learning and Development as appropriate.
Complete final evaluations and Proof of Proficiency forms, submitting them to Learning and Development on the final training day.
Experience Requirements and Preferences::
Medical Assistant:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a clinic setting, ideally in Urgent Care.
Nurse (LPN or RN):
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN/RN, preferably in a clinic setting, ideally in Urgent Care.
Education Requirements::
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
