About the Role

Lochner is seeking recent graduates for entry-level Inspector positions for projects in RI. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and other contract documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret complex contract plans, specifications, special provisions, permits, shop drawings, and working drawings.
  • Monitor and report on daily contractor activities.
  • Check lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard field measuring equipment.
  • Measure and calculate quantities of contract items for payments to the contractor.
  • Track labor, material, and equipment used on each operation covered.
Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or NICET certification required.
  • 0-2 years of Construction Inspection Experience. Experience on CTDOT or RIDOT or MADOT projects preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Personal Vehicle needed along with valid driver's license and clean driving record. Reimbursement for on-site mileage.
