About the Position

The Groomer is a critical role at Scenthound, requiring expertise in dog grooming, leadership, and training. This position involves providing guidance to a team of bathers, facilitating training for new groomers, and upholding the company's high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Groom dogs to Scenthound standards while leading, guiding, and mentoring the bathing team.
  • Create an environment that fosters learning, open communication, and teamwork.
  • Teach new groomers the Scenthound standards and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
  • Identify areas where assistance is needed and provide support to maintain the Scenter's schedule.
  • Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times.
  • Adhere to Scenthound's sanitary and cleaning practices.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager.
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school.
  • Knowledge of dog breeds, their grooming and care standards, and tools of the trade.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment.

Compensation

$22.00 per hour
