Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at Northern Arizona University. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining university electrical systems to ensure they are operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose electrical equipment to identify problems and make necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor and maintain records of university electrical needs and compile maintenance reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as breaker resets, ballast replacements, and receptacle replacements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and make repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless electrical system operation.
Requirements
  • Completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in electrical systems maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent customer-service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to craft clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task, with strong problem-solving skills.
