Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tasks, including computer entry, filing, and telephone communication. They will also be responsible for processing pathology, microbiology, and other laboratory specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform computer entry, filing, and telephone communication duties
  • Process pathology, microbiology, and other laboratory specimens
  • Stock and order routine supplies
  • Keep storage areas, trays, centrifuges, and collection areas clean
  • Process or place specimens on laboratory instruments in accordance with established policy and procedures
  • Perform instrument preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control procedures
  • Assist in pathology with training and evaluation
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Minimum 1-year clinical laboratory experience performing similar job functions preferred
  • State Certified as CPT I or CPT II if the laboratory is located in a state where required
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred
