Position Summary:

The role of the Home Loan Processor II involves the meticulous ordering, collection, assessment, and preparation of essential documentation for all residential mortgage applications. This includes ensuring that all conditions of the loan are satisfied and that the loan adheres to all regulatory, credit union, and secondary market standards. This position requires advanced knowledge and the ability to manage additional responsibilities beyond those of a Loan Processor I.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assess loan applications for accuracy, compliance, and completeness, ensuring adherence to all relevant guidelines and policies.
  2. Request appraisals, title commitments, tax transcripts, income verifications, and compliance reports.
  3. Communicate effectively with borrowers, loan officers, realtors, and other stakeholders to provide updates and manage outstanding items for a smooth closing process.
  4. Review and fulfill underwriting conditions.
  5. Analyze appraisals, title policies, credit reports, and income documentation.
  6. Investigate any discrepancies in supporting documents to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation.
  7. Prepare and deliver re-disclosures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  8. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of closing documents.
  9. Coordinate the closing, recording, and funding processes.
  10. Verify the accuracy and completeness of signed closing documents.
  11. Disburse loans and manage post-closing tasks, including packaging and shipping investor loans.
  12. Prioritize daily tasks to meet company timelines and expectations.
  13. Achieve minimum monthly performance goals set by management.
  14. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all credit union mortgage products.
  15. Perform duties with a focus on risk management and compliance with policies and regulations.
  16. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as directed.
  17. Exhibit a professional demeanor and foster a respectful workplace environment.
  18. Safeguard sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
  19. Be open to performing additional job-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of mortgage processing experience.
  2. Preferred experience in processing Correspondent, FHA, and VA loans.
  3. Ability to review and analyze basic income calculations.
  4. Familiarity with loan origination software and electronic file management systems.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Willingness to travel for training and business purposes.
  7. A valid Driver's License is required.
