The Export Manager must exhibit strong leadership and customer service capabilities. This role is pivotal in representing our clients and overseeing the complete international shipment process from quotation to delivery. As an operations leader, you will be responsible for nurturing healthy, mutually beneficial relationships with Priority Worldwide's international freight forwarding partners and regulatory bodies.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding Export
  • Proficiency in Intermodal Exports - Air and Ocean
  • Experience with ITAR Shipments and Compliance Regulations
  • Must be able to work on-site
  • Experience in managing a team in a similar capacity
  • Familiarity with CargoWise is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Your Responsibilities...

You will be the driving force behind the export team, ensuring the timely, efficient, and cost-effective movement, routing, and occasional quoting of international freight.

Key Duties:

  • Act as a primary contact for all clients, both internal and external, with a relentless focus on delivering the Ultimate Customer Experience.
  • Foster and promote a strong team environment.
  • Engage in direct, proactive interaction with the assigned export team to ensure awareness of all activities and take the lead in problem resolution.
  • Ensure the export team operates effectively, clients receive prompt responses, and established processes are adhered to.
  • Develop measurable statistics and objectives for presentation to the team and management.
  • Assist the Directors of Operations and Compliance with any export compliance-related issues.
  • Manage workload distribution and task assignments for HQ and remote team members.
  • Exude energy and motivation towards clients and employees.
  • Lead weekly departmental meetings for the assigned export team.
  • Prepare, review, and present monthly departmental performance metrics.
  • Mentor and train team members, assigning and reviewing individual and team objectives.
  • Conduct AES filing audits.
  • Address service issues and feedback from operations and sales, including reviewing and initiating corrective actions.
  • Be prepared to take a hands-on approach when necessary to ensure client satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation packages are tailored based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience.
