Job Title: Substitute Cook/Cashier

Clear Creek Amana Community School District is seeking a Substitute Cook/Cashier to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Substitute Cook/Cashier will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare food according to recipes using proper procedures.
  2. Operate equipment and perform work tasks in a safe and sanitary manner.
  3. Clean and maintain school food service equipment and facilities.
  4. Serve food using proper sanitation.
  5. Maintain positive relations with students and staff in the serving line.
  6. Assist lead cook with record keeping and inventory.
  7. Makes suggestions for improving food quality or general operations of the school food service operation.
  8. Regular attendance.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to frequently stand for prolonged periods, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, and equipment helpful.
