Medical Assistant II

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at Baton Rouge General. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform basic physical assessments on patients, collecting data essential for treatment.
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians, adhering to policy with 100% accuracy.
- Respond to incoming patient care-related phone calls, assessing and accurately determining the purpose of the call according to policy.
- Assist in data management processes, including updating patient clinical records with 100% accuracy.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinic setting preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, with completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification required.
