Status: Non-exempt, full-time

The Quality Technician is essential in upholding the utmost standards of quality and safety throughout the manufacturing process. This role emphasizes quality assurance from the initial receipt of raw materials through every stage of production until the final shipment of products. The individual will ensure adherence to pertinent regulations and standards within the Pet Industry. Candidates with experience in SQF (Safe Quality Food) and proficiency in Excel and Word are preferred. Bilingual capabilities are necessary for effective communication in a diverse workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Raw Material Evaluation:

- Assess the compliance of incoming raw materials.

- Monitor and evaluate the quality of materials utilized in production.

- Conduct inspections and tests to verify adherence to quality benchmarks.

- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to swiftly address quality concerns.

2. Compliance with Industry Standards:

- Stay updated on regulations and standards relevant to pet products.

- Develop and uphold quality control protocols to ensure compliance with industry requirements.

- Perform internal audits to pinpoint areas for enhancement and execute corrective measures.

3. SQF Knowledge:

- Apply SQF principles to establish and sustain a comprehensive food safety and quality management system.

- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate SQF standards throughout the production workflow.

- Engage in SQF audits and implement necessary corrective actions.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Leverage Excel and Word skills to produce and maintain thorough quality documentation.

- Analyze data trends to uncover opportunities for production process improvements.

- Create detailed reports for management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality technician capacity, ideally within the Pet Industry manufacturing sector.

- Proficient in SQF principles with prior experience in SQF audits.

- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis and report creation.

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to facilitate effective communication among team members, including document translation as necessary.

- Detail-oriented with a steadfast commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.



Compensation: $19-19 Hourly Wage
