Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will:
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on air-cooled chillers, pumps, and water systems.
  • Utilize automated building controls to test inputs and outputs for voltage on building systems.
  • Work on various HVAC units including split package, residential, light commercial, mini-splits, VAVs, and AHUs.
  • Employ a multi-meter for voltage checks and use brazing techniques.
  • Prepare work orders and estimate material costs.
  • Mentor and guide junior technicians.

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Strong independent work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • In-depth understanding of the refrigeration cycle and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge of various HVAC systems.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

Applicants must have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years of advanced experience in commercial HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • An EPA Universal Refrigeration License.
  • Completion of an HVAC I course or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • U.S. citizenship for access to military installations.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be able to:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Engage in various physical activities including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work in diverse environmental conditions.
