Position Overview: The Clinical Charge Nurse plays a crucial role in identifying patient requirements and establishing care priorities through thorough assessment, strategic planning, and effective delegation of responsibilities based on individual patient needs. This position involves executing physician orders and implementing therapeutic nursing interventions while evaluating patient responses to care and monitoring progress towards desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate care across various professional disciplines as necessary.
- Assist patients and staff in recognizing issues and exploring alternative solutions and outcomes.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a valid nursing license is required.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- ACLS certification is also required within 90 days of hire.
Experience Requirements:
- Prior nursing experience in a critical care environment is essential, demonstrating supervisory and/or management capabilities.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills are necessary, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting that demands frequent task prioritization and adaptability.
