Position Overview

A reputable substance abuse treatment facility is in search of dedicated full-time and part-time Patient Care Technicians. We offer flexible scheduling options, including evening and overnight shifts, as we operate around the clock. Opportunities for both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts are available. Join our team of compassionate caregivers committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing patient care under the supervision of nursing personnel.
  • Accompany patients to various appointments, including X-ray and Emergency Room visits.
  • Support the transfer and discharge processes for patients.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients.
  • May involve drawing and processing blood samples as needed.
  • Conduct regular rounds to check on patient well-being.
  • Assist patients during meal times.
  • Perform searches in accordance with approved guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in nursing, patient care, or related fields is preferred.
  • Completion of a nursing assistant or medical assistant training program.
  • Ability to establish rapport with patients effectively.
  • Demonstrated compassion and a caring attitude.
  • Experience in a Mental Health or Substance Abuse setting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer usage is required.
  • CPR certification is necessary (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
