We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Actuary to join our Specialty Lines team at USAA. As an Associate Actuary, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing actuarial models to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain actuarial models to analyze and predict future results, including pricing, reserving, and catastrophe management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions to business challenges.
- Provide actuarial expertise to support product development, pricing, and risk management initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform business decisions.
- Communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and provide training and support to team members as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in actuarial analysis, pricing, and risk management, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Experience with actuarial software and modeling tools, such as Python and Earnix.
- US military experience or a strong understanding of the military community is a plus.
USAA offers a competitive salary range of $120,550 - $230,400, based on experience and market data.
