As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair, maintenance, and care of our grounds and related structures and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grounds Maintenance: Assist with building and grounds maintenance work, including repairing drives and walkways, marking off athletic fields to prescribed standards, and performing litter control duties.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform custodial and maintenance tasks for recreational facilities, including operating light automotive or power equipment.
  • Horticulture: Assist in the propagating, planting, cultivating, watering, and spraying of flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees, and turf areas.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate machinery and equipment, including light automotive or power equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Enter hours worked into computer software daily.
Requirements
  • Education: Equivalent to completion of the eighth grade.
  • Experience: Some experience in grounds work.
  • Skills: Ability to use common hand tools, operate machinery and equipment, and work holidays, weekends, evenings, mornings, or as needed.
  • Knowledge: Some knowledge of the tools, materials, and equipment used in horticulture, the materials, equipment, tools, and techniques of the standard building trades, and safety precautions applicable to the duties of the position.
