Join Our Growing Cardiology ServiceWe are seeking Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our hospital-based cardiology practice. APPs are integral members of our department and clinical care teams, providing comprehensive care. In this position, NPs/PAs work alongside an experienced cardiologist and medically manage a variety of cardiology outpatients.
Responsibilities:- Perform onsite cardiac testing, including EKG, echocardiograms, exercise stress echocardiogram, dobutamine stress echocardiogram, myocardial imaging spect nuclear stress testing, exercise treadmill stress test, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, e-patch holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, and cardioversion.
- Manage a wide range of patients within the cardiology office, including hypertension, heart failure, heart valve defects, cardiac pre-op clearance, post-hospital discharge cardiac follow-up, and implantable devices monitoring.
- Provide hospital services, including cardiac consultation and follow-up, pacemaker implantation, implantable loop recorders, EKG, echocardiograms, exercise stress echocardiogram, dobutamine stress echocardiogram, and myocardial imaging spect nuclear stress testing.
- Candidates must be board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year clinical experience; highly motivated new graduates with interest and abilities in cardiology will be considered.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
