Position Overview

As an Environmental Specialist at Michaels Arts and Crafts, you will play a vital role in enhancing customer experiences while promoting sustainable practices within our retail environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers in locating products and offering effective solutions.
  • Ensuring a swift and pleasant checkout process while adhering to cash handling protocols.
  • Engaging customers about the advantages of our rewards program and facilitating enrollments.
  • Educating customers on feedback initiatives to enhance service quality.
  • Supporting various sales channels, including in-store pickups and shipping from the store.
  • Participating in inventory management tasks, including unloading shipments and organizing merchandise according to planograms.
  • Maintaining store presentation standards through effective merchandise recovery and organization.
  • Executing stock optimization tasks and other assigned duties to ensure product availability.
  • Contributing to loss prevention and safety initiatives.
  • Following established procedures and company policies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere while collaborating with team members.
  • Gaining cross-training in custom framing sales and production processes.

Additional Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate throughout the store.
  • Regular physical activities including bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.
  • Work in a retail environment with varying climate conditions.
