Position Overview:

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our vibrant construction team. Your contributions will be essential to the financial viability of our projects, overseeing everything from initial bids to final project delivery. Your proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, project evaluation, and financial management will be vital in ensuring timely and budget-compliant project execution. This position requires a keen ability to interpret highway plans and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, and liaise with various stakeholders, including contractors and government officials.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop precise and competitive cost estimates for diverse construction projects.
2. Analyze and interpret project documentation, requirements, and specifications.
3. Execute quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for materials and labor to determine project costs.
4. Prepare bid packages and engage in negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
5. Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, contractors, and government entities.
6. Conduct site assessments to ensure adherence to project specifications and measure for project delivery.
7. Generate reports on project timelines, progress, and financial analysis.
8. Collaborate with project managers to formulate project budgets and oversee cost management.
9. Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in cost estimation methodologies.

Qualifications:

1. At least 10 years of experience in construction estimation, particularly in highway projects.
2. Expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, project evaluation, and financial management.
3. Strong capability to interpret highway plans and specifications.
4. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with all organizational levels, contractors, and government agencies.
5. Proficient in software applications for cost analysis and report generation.
6. Willingness to conduct occasional site visits.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
9. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
10. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
