Senior Finance Leader for National Health Plan

The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned finance leader with a strong track record of driving financial performance and strategy in a complex healthcare environment. She/he will provide strategic financial leadership to the National Health Plan, collaborating closely with the Executive Leadership Team to inform and influence key organizational initiatives and line of business strategies.
This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing financial plans, managing budgets, and analyzing financial data to inform business decisions. She/he will also oversee the development of financial models and forecasts, ensuring that they are accurate and reliable.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including the regulatory environment, market trends, and competitor activity. She/he will be able to analyze complex financial data, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
This role requires a strong leader who can build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, business partners, and regulatory agencies. She/he will be responsible for communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders, ensuring that they understand the financial implications of business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with a minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5 years of executive management level experience working directly with senior leaders of a health insurance organization.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $414,000 to $517,500, as well as comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits. The successful candidate will be eligible for incentive compensation and an executive allowance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to drive business growth and profitability
Manage budgets and analyze financial data to inform business decisions
Oversee the development of financial models and forecasts
Analyze complex financial data and identify areas for improvement
Develop strategic recommendations to drive business growth and profitability
Communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with regulatory, administrative, and legal requirements
Establish appropriate internal controls to support SOX and Model Audit Rule requirements
Stay abreast of industry trends, the evolving regulatory environment, and internal operational changes
Represent National Health Plan and Finance with internal and external stakeholders, other Kaiser Permanente functions, vendors, and regulatory agencies
Recruit, develop, and maintain a high performing, talented, and engaged team
Champion innovation and change within Finance and National Health Plan
