Job Summary: We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at our Western Springs location. As an Early Childhood Education Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and educational programs for children from birth to age six. You will work closely with our experienced teachers and support staff to ensure that every child receives the highest quality care and education.
Job Responsibilities: The following are some of the key responsibilities of this role:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of our children and align with our curriculum
- Lead activities and play-based learning experiences that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Communicate with parents and caregivers to keep them informed about their child's progress and daily activities
- Maintain a safe and clean environment that promotes healthy development and well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that our program is meeting the needs of all children
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 19 years of age. You must also have 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six. Alternatively, you may have 1 year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age 6. Completion of credential programs approved by the Department in accordance with Appendix G of this Part (CDA) is also acceptable.
