Market Risk Trading Associate

Join SMBC Group, a top-tier global financial group, and contribute to the success of our organization as a Market Risk Trading Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for using various modeling techniques and data structures to project potential losses attributable to changes in market values on the trading book. Your expertise will be essential in creating scenarios across different timeframes, monitoring potential losses across different types of risks, and suggesting risk reduction and hedging strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Populate models measuring potential losses attributable to changes in market values on the trading book.
  • Populate stress tests and highlight results.
  • Measure fair value/market prices for asset prices using existing pricing data from businesses, counterparties, and markets, and replacement cost.
  • Measure potential losses across different types of risks, considering correlation between instruments, and suggest risk reduction and hedging strategies.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in risk modeling, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, economics, and risk management principles.
  • Proficiency in data management, statistical analysis, and information technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $95,000.00 to $132,000.00.
