ResponsibilitiesThe Anesthesia Technician plays a crucial role in supporting perioperative patient care by assisting with clinical anesthesia tasks under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Anesthesiologists. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and providing necessary supplies and equipment during anesthetic procedures to ensure safe patient care.
- Conducting preoperative checks on anesthesia machines and troubleshooting any equipment issues.
- Initiating intravenous lines for patients and operating intraoperative blood recovery systems.
- Utilizing advanced imaging systems to support surgical procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Preferred coursework in anatomy/physiology and basic chemistry at the college level.
3. A minimum of one year of experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
4. Current BLS (AHA) certification is mandatory.
