Responsibilities:
  • Examine patients and their medical records to identify potential vascular health issues.
  • Order and study diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and ultrasounds, to diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
  • Prescribe medications and maintain accurate records and schedules.
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed treatments, and educate patients and their family members on varicose veins and vascular health management.
  • Recommend and refer associated services to improve healing outcomes.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and unrestricted license as a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant in the state of Texas.
  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinical, hospital, ER, or other setting.
  • A minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience in vascular surgery, preferred not required.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to set priorities while managing multiple tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
