System Design and Development

We are seeking an experienced EOIR Systems Performance Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced electro-optical infrared (EOIR) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating high-fidelity performance models and simulations of novel EOIR systems, components, and their associated physical/radiometric/atmospherics phenomenology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update existing high-fidelity performance model/simulations of novel EOIR systems, components, and their associated physical/radiometric/atmospherics phenomenology
  • Collaborate with scientists and fellow engineers on a family of EOIR R&D programs with a Modeling and Simulation focus
  • Implement digital signal processing algorithms using embedded programming languages
  • Validate models against laboratory and real-world data
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively to team members, industry partners, and management
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR equivalent education and professional experience
  • Strong physics background and knowledge base in electromagnetic theory and optics
  • Experience with MATLAB for model/simulation development and object-oriented programming techniques
  • Validating models against laboratory and real-world data
  • Active and transferrable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance
