Job Summary:

Nurse Unit Manager - Broad Reach Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nurse Unit Manager to oversee direct nursing care to patients on our sub-acute half long term care unit. This is a Monday to Friday position that offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee direct nursing care to patients on the sub-acute half long term care unit.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of Nurses and CNAs, planning and delegating assignments to unit nursing staff.
• Communicate clearly with all staff to assure continuity of care, updating nursing team and families with changes in patient condition.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Collaborate in planning, teaching, and evaluating staff development programs for the unit.
• Make daily rounds on the unit to evaluate patient status and staff performance.

Requirements:

• LPN Nursing Certificate or RN Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of sub-acute care experience.
• Active license to practice as a Nurse in Massachusetts.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Strong communication and people skills.
