SmileMD is a specialized anesthesia group dedicated to providing care for the pediatric Medicaid population in an office setting. Our mission focuses on delivering timely care to children who would otherwise face long wait times for treatment in a hospital environment. We operate across multiple states and conduct thousands of procedures each year, all within a dental office setting.
The PACU RN plays a vital role in our Care Team, responsible for monitoring and overseeing the recovery of pediatric patients after sedation. The ideal candidate will possess experience in caring for pediatric patients in a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Our scheduling offers flexibility, with no Sunday or evening shifts required.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver age-appropriate pediatric care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
- Assess and evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions.
- Complete necessary documentation and patient charting.
- Exhibit effective interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, peers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Utilize technology for tracking, documenting, and reporting patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, parents, client offices, and various healthcare team members.
- Conduct medical reviews of patient records for clearance.
- Travel regionally to provide patient care at onsite offices.
- Current RN licensure in [STATE]
- BLS Certification, with the ability to obtain ACLS and PALS Certifications within the first month of employment.
- Exceptional patient care skills.
- Experience with pediatric PACU patients.
- Willingness to travel within the region.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in accurately entering patient information into EMR systems.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the company credentialing process and satisfactory background check results.
- Reliable high-speed internet with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of at least 5 Mbps.
