Job Title: Monitoring Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Monitoring Engineer to join our team at TEKsystems Global Services. As a Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end metric collection, processing, and alert generation. You will work with various stakeholders to ensure that thresholds are correct, develop integrations and new monitoring processes, and follow industry best practices to ensure actionable data is available to stakeholder teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and configure monitoring tools, including New Relic and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • Set up alerts, dashboards, and custom metrics for multiple application teams.
  • Collaborate with DevOps groups and Application Development teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • Analyze performance and infrastructure data to inform optimization and cost management efforts.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with New Relic and Oracle Cloud Monitoring.
  • Scripting skills including one or more of Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Proficiency with Unix administration and management.
  • Knowledge of Database Principles.
  • Knowledge of Operating Windows and Unix Operating systems.
  • Understanding of DevOps Practices and Principles.
  • Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring.
