Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic Level B to join our team at Estes Express Lines. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to work with a variety of heavy equipment, including trailers. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with trailer equipment, using technical manuals and experience to guide repairs.
  • Inspect and test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company safety standards and protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for long periods, as well as work in confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid CDL and acceptable MVR are required if driving on public roads.
