Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our clinical practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and service needs of the division at the UW Health Clinics. Your expertise will be invaluable in the diagnosis and treatment of routine Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as disorders related to the female reproductive system.

As a clinician, you will participate in inpatient and outpatient case management, gynecological surgery, and labor and delivery coverage. Your ability to lead research activities within the ASOG Division will be a significant asset to our team. You will have the opportunity to develop an independently funded translational program focused on advancing your area of interest using a multifaceted approach incorporating groundbreaking foundational research and clinical excellence.

Protected time will be arranged for research activities, allowing you to pursue your academic interests while contributing to the advancement of women's health. Additionally, you will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, including participation in simulation lab training and overseeing the training of residents in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient unit.

Responsibilities:

As a member of our team, you will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. You will work in a collegial relationship with other faculty members, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in patient care and research.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional patient care and service needs of the division at the UW Health Clinics
  • Participating in inpatient and outpatient case management, gynecological surgery, and labor and delivery coverage
  • Leading research activities within the ASOG Division
  • Developing an independently funded translational program focused on advancing your area of interest
  • Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Participating in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • A terminal degree (MD or DO)
License/Certification:

Eligible for Wisconsin medical license

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%
