Mérieux NutriSciences is seeking a skilled Chemical Analyst to join our team in Crete, IL. Your Day-to-Day Life

• Conduct chemical analyses and extractions to determine the concentration of components in samples.
• Ensure that proper analysis methods are conducted on the appropriate samples and maintain chemistry quality control records and procedures.
• Extract desired components from samples using distillation, solvent extraction, and acid digestion.
• Calculate the concentration of components present in samples and post results.
• Prepare standards or reagents needed for analysis procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) required to complete job responsibilities.
• Initiate and investigate customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Review batches and respond to out-of-specification results or questionable data.

Your Profile

A basic knowledge of instrumentation and theory, including HPLC, GC, ICP, and AA, is helpful. A basic knowledge of food science is also helpful to analyze the chemical content of samples. An Associate's degree is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
