About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Checkout Counter Professional to join our team at Johnny's Markets. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions, managing cash and credit card sales, and providing exceptional customer service.

Estimated Salary: $14.75-$16.25 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card sales, and coupons.
  • Manage cash and credit card sales, balancing the register at the end of each shift and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and making recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies and disposing of trash as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, able to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to accurately count cash and make change, with attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and frequently carry weights up to 15 pounds.
