Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Raspberry Falls Golf and Hunt Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Golf Course Superintendent in overseeing the agronomic maintenance program for the golf course and all landscaped areas.

• Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in daily operations, including diagnosing and reporting agronomic issues, managing irrigation system adjustments and scheduling, and maintaining the appearance and safety of the course.
• Act as Superintendent on duty in the absence of the Superintendent, ensuring the smooth operation of the course.
• Manage course preparations for tournament and daily play, including safely operating a variety of golf course maintenance equipment and heavy construction equipment.
• Integrate environmental programs, specializing in IPM (Integrated Pest Management), to maintain a healthy and sustainable turf environment.
• Assist in the coordination, scheduling, and supervising of capital improvement projects, including maintenance operations and employee management.
• Manage maintenance operations, including recruiting, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, supervising, and correcting employees as needed.
• Assist in administrative functions, including maintaining maintenance records, developing required maintenance reports, and tracking maintenance expenses.

• Associate degree (A.A) from a two-year college or technical school in Agronomy, Turf Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in golf course maintenance.
• One to three years of related experience in golf course maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Class C member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association preferred.
• Valid driver's license or commercial driver's license.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment, including golf course maintenance equipment and heavy construction equipment.
