Job Overview: The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly qualified candidate for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track, focusing on Addiction Medicine. This role requires expertise in treating adults and potentially adolescents with addiction issues. Additional skills in Hospital Medicine, LGBTQ+ health, and/or Community Medicine are welcome but not mandatory.

Estimated Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and market conditions in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities: As an Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for participating in the education of Family Medicine residents, medical students, and fellows in the Addiction Medicine fellowship program. Clinical duties may include outpatient care in a busy academic practice, caring for a diverse patient population, and participation in integrated addiction and primary care clinics. Optional roles may include rounding on adult medicine inpatient services, community and school-based healthcare settings, and/or LGBTQ-focused primary care.

Requirements: A strong background in Family Medicine, Board certification/eligibility, and Fellowship training or prior clinical experience in Addiction Medicine are essential. Candidates must also have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Teaching responsibilities will include developing curriculum materials and assessing student performance.
