About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Wimmer Solutions. As a key member of our Estates & Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential estates and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete routine maintenance tasks and update checklists to ensure the optimal functioning of our facilities.
  • Vendor Coordination: Schedule and coordinate with specialized third-party vendors and subject matter experts to address maintenance needs.
  • Health and Safety: Assist with administering health and life-safety programs, ensuring compliance with CAL-OSHA regulations and providing related training.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with subject matter experts and contract vendors to identify opportunities for improved productivity and efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories and stock levels to ensure quick replacement of essential items.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Financial Management: Reconcile company-provided credit card transactions and reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Contract Staff Oversight: May oversee the daily work activities of contract staff and/or vendors, but does not directly manage employees.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance, construction, or a comparable trade.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and familiar with CMMS software.
  • Smart Home Systems: Experience working with smart home systems is highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to synthesize information, efficiently troubleshoot, and define problems.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate and perform a variety of duties with frequent distractions.
  • Continuous Learning: Strong drive for continued learning and education, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, with occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise Level: Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Physical Demands
  • Medium to Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
