SLPA Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at Soliant. As an SLPA, you will play a vital role in supporting the evaluation and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluation and Treatment: Assist in conducting comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders, and implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Direct Therapy: Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and provide input as needed.
• Record Keeping and Administration: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress, and assist the supervising SLP with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: Must have an associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field, and be eligible for SLPA licensure in California.
• Experience: Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting, preferably in a school setting as an SLPA.
