Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Cath Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Imaging and Diagnostic Support: Assist physicians in the use of imaging equipment to detect and treat heart and blood vessel issues in patients.
- Patient Preparation and Care: Take patients' medical histories, answer their questions, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Ensure that imaging equipment is in good working order and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
- Image Evaluation and Communication: Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, and communicate results to physicians.
- Procedure Support: Assist physicians with catheter insertions and other invasive procedures, and provide hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.
- Supply and Equipment Management: Coordinate and organize supplies, equipment, and instruments needed for cath lab procedures.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in activities to plan, measure, and improve the quality of patient care.
- Documentation and Communication: Record and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems.
- Radiation Protection: Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
Requirements:
- Certifications and Licensure: Current BLS certification and MD license required.
- Experience: Cath/Angio/EP scrub and tech experience required.
