Job Summary:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and licensed Special Education Teacher to join our team in a full-time position in Hodgkins, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, tailored to meet their unique learning needs.
  • Provide specially designed instruction to support student achievement and socio-emotional development, collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of student services and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective educational plans, promoting student success and well-being.
  • Stay up-to-date with special education laws, policies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform instructional decisions and support student growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Illinois teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities preferred, with a strong understanding of special education laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
