Job Summary:

AECOM is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead our Environmental Remediation team in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our Remediation Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of a group of projects/portfolios to ensure the achievement of internal and client-facing KPIs and project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects, direct data analysis and reporting for specific environmental project tasks, and guide site remediation strategies to bring sites to closure.
  • Collaborate and participate in technical discussions with project team members.
  • Adhere to AECOM's Quality Management System (QMS) in the execution of projects and portfolios.
  • Interact with various state agencies to develop favorable risk-based remediation goals.
  • Develop and maintain communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and internal project teams.
  • Develop and formulate solutions to client problems/issues.
  • Participate in project reviews of major program/project dashboards/deep dives to identify issues and improve performance.
  • Embrace workflow optimization and adoption of digital tools.
  • Actively integrate global resources into project delivery and manage the change associated with this transition.
  • Organically grow current portfolios through exceptional project delivery and client relationships.

Operations:

  • In support of Program Manager, drive monthly, quarterly, and annual performance related to financial forecasting.
  • Drive program performance to meet and/or exceed client satisfaction and KPIs.
  • Drive business performance and the attainment and exceedance of internal KPIs.
  • Work alongside Program Manager to drive strong working capital performance within the department by actively monitoring cash flow (Unbilled, Billed AR, and DSO).
  • Drive consistent project management practices and procedures across groups of projects/portfolio in alignment with AECOM Project Delivery System (PDS) and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Assist Program Manager to maintain departmental compliance with Business Line Pricing guidance and DOA approval framework.
  • Assist Program Manager to ensure the accuracy of the department's sales pipeline data.
  • Participate in proposal development to support business growth.
  • Act as a point of escalation for project issues and make recommendations to improve performance. This may include addressing project resourcing gaps, supporting technical issues, resolving invoicing and cash collection challenges, addressing subconsultant and vendor concerns, etc.

People:

  • Builds, maintains, and facilitates trusting relationships with key contacts across the depth and breadth of client organizations.
  • Serves as a focal point for major issue resolution and provides rapid follow-up to address concerns.
  • Actively shares people management responsibilities with the Program Manager.
  • Directs and coordinates work assignments and reviews performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
  • Participates in feedback for portfolio Project Managers and execution teams to assure client satisfaction and long-term growth.
  • Promotes health and safety stewardship, including performing local field visits.
