Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista Lead to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our coffee shop team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and espresso drinks to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks to customers, following standard recipes and procedures.
  • Enter orders accurately into the POS system and handle cash and charge payments.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies, maintaining a clean and organized service area.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Prepare food according to approved recipes and follow prescribed production standards.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays in serving lines.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers.
  • Serve as an advocate of selling techniques to customers, establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a barista or in a related role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays.
