Position Overview

Behavior Technician – Children's Center for Autism (CCA) PRN

  • The Children's Center for Autism (CCA) is seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians (BT) to deliver transformative support to individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Daily guidance and training will be provided by experienced supervisors.
  • Incentives for perfect attendance and exceptional performance evaluations are available, along with enjoyable team-building food events.
  • We offer a complimentary 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program, covering your RBT application and examination fees, as well as annual renewal costs.
  • Part-time employees can earn up to $19.00 per hour upon obtaining RBT certification.
  • Full-time roles come with comprehensive benefits, including paid time off and holidays for those interested in working 30-40 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute personalized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate within a team under the direct oversight of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).
  • Engage directly with clients to enhance essential skills, such as communication.
  • Assist clients in reducing challenging behaviors, including aggression.
  • Provide necessary verbal and physical prompts to clients.
  • Record client progress using electronic devices.
  • Exhibit adaptability and teamwork throughout the treatment process.
  • Participate in a thorough 2-3 week training covering ABA techniques, CPR, SAMA, and other procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing monthly educational opportunities.
  • Work is regularly monitored by supervisors and parents through a video observation system.
  • Adhere to the Registered Behavior Technician Ethics Code.

Compensation

  • Hourly wage: $15.00 – $17.00.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in ABA, psychology, education, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience as a Behavior Technician in an ABA setting.
  • Experience working with individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, including Autism.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform SAMA and CPR; training is provided upon hiring.
  • Capable of moderate to heavy lifting (15#- 45#), pushing, stooping, light carrying (15#), repeated bending, reaching above shoulder level, simple grasping, hearing, walking, running, sitting, and twisting.
  • Must possess the ability to see, write, operate office equipment, drive a vehicle, and have depth perception. The qualified individual must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
