Job Title: Senior System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our Network Operations team at Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation of our in-house computer network and cloud services.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing servers and cloud offerings, including email, print, web, database, file, and backup servers, as well as their associated operating systems and software.
  • Managing security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Ensuring network connectivity of all workstations in all offices.
  • Administering and maintaining end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Performing server, storage, and security audits.
  • Conducting research on network products, services, protocols, and standards.
  • Recommending, scheduling, and performing network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Maintaining confidentiality with regards to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
  • Documenting network problems and resolutions for future reference.

Requirements:

  • A 4-year degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting users and computers systems with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a System Administrator supporting more than 200 computers and 20 servers.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience designing technical solutions based on vendor specifications and organizational requirements.
  • Operational experience with one or more mainstream Linux distributions.
  • Willingness to work occasional off-hours and weekends as required.
  • Patience and experience in working with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
