Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Learning
- Deliver high-quality instruction in AP Literature and 12th Grade English Language Arts, aligned to state standards
- Develop and implement engaging, rigorous, and relevant daily lessons that promote student growth and understanding
- Utilize a variety of assessments to collect and respond to student achievement data
- Scaffold and differentiate instruction to support students towards independent mastery of content
- Student Support
- Develop trusting, authentic relationships with students and their families
- Create and maintain a joyful, safe, structured, and engaging school and classroom culture
- Encourage students to take risks and learn from their mistakes
- Create opportunities for students to leverage the power of their voice

- Communication
- Communicate regularly with parents, striving for a ratio of three positive communications for each corrective one
- Earned Bachelor's Degree
- California Single Subject Credential in the designated subject area; are currently working towards one; or, are committed to working towards a credential
- Possession of either an English Learner (EL) Authorization, Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate, Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD), or Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) required, or are working towards this
- At least three years of teaching experience
This position is on-site. The employee must have sufficient mobility to report to campus, work in a classroom, and engage with students, with or without reasonable accommodations.
