We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our team as a 12th Grade English Language Arts Teacher at Invictus Academy of Richmond. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the academic experience of our students and contributing to our mission of preparing 100% of students to thrive in the colleges of their choice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning
    • Deliver high-quality instruction in AP Literature and 12th Grade English Language Arts, aligned to state standards
    • Develop and implement engaging, rigorous, and relevant daily lessons that promote student growth and understanding
    • Utilize a variety of assessments to collect and respond to student achievement data
    • Scaffold and differentiate instruction to support students towards independent mastery of content
  • Student Support
    • Develop trusting, authentic relationships with students and their families
    • Create and maintain a joyful, safe, structured, and engaging school and classroom culture
    • Encourage students to take risks and learn from their mistakes
    • Create opportunities for students to leverage the power of their voice

Requirements
  • Earned Bachelor's Degree
  • California Single Subject Credential in the designated subject area; are currently working towards one; or, are committed to working towards a credential
  • Possession of either an English Learner (EL) Authorization, Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate, Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD), or Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) required, or are working towards this
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least three years of teaching experience
