Job Summary

Become part of a dynamic organization with a mission to improve the health and well-being of diverse communities. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education - Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs, attending education programs, and utilizing patient education materials.
  • Evaluation of Care - Identify expected patient outcomes, seek guidance as needed, and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Implementation - Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, perform bedside point-of-care testing, and utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards.
  • Leadership - Develop goals to promote professional growth, achieve goals and objectives, and participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
  • Patient Assessment - Recognize data from complex situations, determine priorities for care, and assess and anticipate discharge needs.
  • Planning - Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care, making use of available multidisciplinary resources.
  • Research - Stay current with relevant research and bring ideas to the staff for assessment of applicability.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Professional Experience: One year of nursing experience.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment.
