About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls. As a Nursing Assistant Trainee, you will be enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop your confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver that provides personal care to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner.
  • Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in partnership with a preceptor to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Assist clients with basic health care needs and activities of daily living, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, and obtaining vital signs.
  • Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse.
  • Assist with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned within non-certified nursing assistant role.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

The Good Samaritan Society offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $24.00 for CNA wage and $22.50 for Nursing Assistant wage.
