Maternally and Pediatrically Focused Nutritionist

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Nutritionist to join our WIC program team in Lexington, NE. As a Maternally and Pediatrically Focused Nutritionist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nutrition services to vulnerable populations, supporting them in achieving optimal health outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits and community outreach to engage with clients and promote program services
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans, incorporating evidence-based recommendations and lifestyle adjustments
  • Provide education and support on breastfeeding, infant feeding, and early childhood nutrition
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and social service agencies to address underlying factors affecting client health

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Home Economics/Consumer and Family Science with emphasis in nutrition
  • Registered Dietitian preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of maternal and pediatric nutrition, including lactation and infant feeding practices
